It has been many years since I was involved with Wicen and the C2S
run. I've tried casually listening during past years and heard nothing
on any repeaters. Is Wicen still involved? Is there any Amatuer
support? Or has C2S gone totally professional with its Comms?

I was going to compete in the City to Surf one year, but thought better of
it and decided to do the communications instead
but thought yet again and decided it would be better if I sat at home with a
slab and look at the results on the TV

Too much of that has taken it's toll on my health, so this year I am
going to actually run the race. However, being realistic, it's going
to be more like a walk. (Hell, just finishing will be an achievement).

I thought it would add to the fun if I could monitor the coms while I
was on the road.

WICEN hasn't been involved for quite a few years - not since the
organisers found that mobile phones were simpler and faster.

Thanks Simon.

I wonder if they use the PTT function on their phones?

Does anyone here use the facility? I've seen it used a lot in the USA
but it isn't all that cost effective for my company.
