Can you please do the scanning community a favour and shut down
newcastlescan website.
The NSWFB information page is at least 3 years outa date
The 800mhz trunking systems in newcastle are tetra based from all research
i've conducted when i was up there last week
Take XXXXX name off the webpages, as he is obviously not giving you
information anymore for your site which is why its so damn outa date
over half the grn talkgroups you have listed on your page are wrong
Those annoying popups from tripod

Overall XXXXX site whilst not looking the best contains accurate information
for people actively involved in the hobby of scanning whereas yours is not
much help at all

You need to admit your glory days are over when it comes to scanning, and
spend more time with the things that are more important eg your family

I only spent 5mins on your website pointout out those problems, and if you
believe your nswfb information is accurate check out the topic of discussion
on scannsw where JAFO who is a current serving NSWFB member in sydney picked
to bits the information that someone posted on the forums that is a direct
copy of whats on your webpage.. hmmm

I do not envy what you do, I take pitty upon you having such a crappy
website. I only used tripod hosting till I had the money to get a proper
website setup without those annoying popups

Do some research and youll find nothing constructive about Andrew Kenna
He is one of the leechers. His websites is dont contain any good infomation
that isnt elsewhere. HE LINKED TO GOOD INFO!! and if he did a forum would
his server crash too like his websites?

I'm sure if people have a read of what i've said regarding faults on your
website they will agree with me on them, and maybe finally you might realise
that you need to update the newcastlescan website

Dunno why you decided to put my mobile number in there, the amount of
postings that have my mobile attached to in google would be enough if people
wanted to phone me up.

If anyone wants to know what the XXXX was, it was where I had put Garry
Luxton's name in there as he is no longer part of newcastlescan and as a
favour i offered to approach mike to request he remove garry's name from
there.

I know your not a fan of mine mike, doesn't take a brain surgeon to figure
that one out

a dud scanner and was accused of damaging it!

Please punctuate properly, ie: Capitals and full stops.

The only review online was that one, nobody else has came up on this
newsgroup presumptively because they are simply unaware that it
exists. I for one cannot comment on either of your business practices,
but for someone like yourself Mike to pop up and ask if there were any
testimonials or fans and then assume there were nonw was simply
incorrect.

which contains the same webpage you referred to
(www.ajkcommunications.com.au) but at this stage it's to early to
speculate what is happening with the business, last time I checked the
domain was not connecting to any server.

Now for your site review:

1) Free hosting is crap, i've had three pop ups since I've been
posting this message. (It's opened in another tab)

2) Scanner audio on site load, quite annoying and distracting.Consider
making this user enabled by preference, not by your personal desire.

3) The website design is very 90's.

4) Font sizes - you are immediately hit with lines of large text
sizes. Then we have very small text fonts for the navigation, make
this a tad larger and shrink the larger fonts.

5) To many email addresses listed, have one and only one. I didn't
think Garry was still in association with the website any further?

6) What's with the link to download a copy of the GRN ID list on your
Guestbook page? That is rather random to be advertised there.

7) On the "Request a Freq!" page, in particular the email address
listed - remove the visible mailto: otherwise people may get confused.
The people who are not I.T. literate.

To be honest, from four pages and to have seven points is enough for
any normal person to want to pull it down and either a) fix it up or
b) give up. I won't bother reviewing the rest of your site.

There is a Victorian Scanning Website, however it's frequently
offline. I'm not going to continue visiting a website that is like a
see-saw, it has gotten rather annoying. If I gave a review on the
accuracy of information it would be a ratio of 70% accurate and the
other 30% as un-accurate.

You'd like to check my site? http://michael.keeping.id.au Not much to
review, but please be my guest. If you have any suggestions on how you
can possibly have any impact on my opinions then please list them in
dot point. Oh, we are talking about scanner websites... how can you
rate the accuracy of information when your in the Newcastle area? At
the moment I don't have a scanning website, only because it takes more
than one person to keep it updated. I've suggested many times in the
past on these newsgroups that if we can get three or four people
together then i'll give it a go, regardless of the state they are
located in. I would even be happy to pay for the fee's of PAID web
hosting (not free junk) and a domain name or two to suit. Has anyone
came forth? Nup.

Yep its gone down and will be back up shortly

People who have legitimate problems with products they have purchased, and I
believe that NSWFB officer made representations to fair trading who then
contacted me.
I told fair trading my side of things, and guess what nothing further
happened.

Really what business does not have unhappy customers, you cannot please
everyone in this world.
