I was scanning the other day and found a very strong signals on the NSW
Police band.

467.925,468.3,468.575, This seems to be the southwest of NSW.
Yass,Goulburn,Moss Vale,Tumut etc etc.

Does anyone know why the signals are strong in the Sydney area ?
interesting.

To actually answer your question, you would be hearing it in Sydney as
they are currently running it through the analogue liaison channels
for testing purposes. I don't believe this is a permanent measure,
however you would be able to hear these transmissions potentially
across the entire state. The analogue liaison channel is usually used
for organisations such as the RSPCA and the Lifesavers to liaise with
police without interfering with normal VKG operations.

It's permanent.

They saved on an operator on Analogue Liason channel who handled a couple
calls a day.

You'll also receive it on VHF 78.3625 (Mittagong) 78.4375 (Kurrajong) and
78.900 (Razorback???)

the reason the signal is so strong is because its being re-broadcast on grn
tg 62640 which is also linked up to the freq's mentioned below.

Wow the info is in, so they use 467.925,468.3,468.575, VHF 78.3625
(Mittagong) 78.4375 (Kurrajong) and 78.900 (Razorback???) as well as GRN TG
62640

So from this we could gather that it is some kind of joint op link up ?? in
the event of killer waves and eathquakes etc etc ?

thanks for all the info lads.
