Does Baulkham Hills ever use their UHF system or only stay on VHF?
I assume that any 'task-force' that comes into their area would have to use
either UHF or GRN?

AFAIK and I am not a member of RFS but have work colleagues that are.... RFS
are leaning more towards UHF vote group or UHF similar setups than using the
GRN.

Baulkham Hills RFS main channel(vhf) that they use normally I heard from
someone actually belongs to the local council rather than the RFS.

Vhf would have greater penetration power in the hills around that area
anyways i'd imagine compared to UHF

I have never heard any traffic on their UHF PMR at all.
I see the VHF that it is licenced to Council, so I assume that other RFS
units would not have that freq

Not sure, I know when I was in the RFS we did have our local council
portable radios up at FIRECOM just incase we needed to task council heavy
plant gear etc although this was mostly done via the EOC if needed.

It would probly depend on the local arrangements that are setup, as I
believe in some RFS Districts they supply the local NSWFB station with an
rfs portable so they can call up on channel when responding to jobs..
