Hi all,

I've been away for a bit and looks like everythings changed here in Sydney,
can't seem to pick up police frequencies on my trusty Bearcat.

Is there any way of getting around this?

Cheers,
Pete

At least 2006, maybe 2007.

I had a listen today and just got static on the frequencies I have
programmed in my scanner.

If you are in sydney its not a matter of its a good chance, THE POLICE HAVE
GONE DIGITAL

Last Channel went over to digital at least 6 months to a year ago, i'm sure
someone in here knows the dates of when the first channel went over and when
the last channel went over.

time to buy a digital scanner if you want to listen to the police and other
users of the radio spectrum eg NSWGRN etc

They have just converted to digital radios
the "static" you are hearing is the digital signals
get ya self a digital scanner and you'll be hearing them again
