DO NOT BUY ICOM GEAR!!! IT IS CRAP!!!


I sent my Icom IC-R20 handheld RX in to get repaired, after I sat on the
thing, with the USB lead plugged into side of it and I broke the socket
inside... Sent it back to them, paid for that repair, then the useless
morons sent it back with more faults that THEY had created, namely no
2nd band RX in dual band mode and the digitally controlled volume
control would not stay at a fixed level - kept dropping down to zero
level by itself... THEY EXPECTED ME TO PAY FOR THE 2ND REPAIR, WHEN IT
WAS THEIR FAULT, SIMPLY BECAUSE THEY HAD "LOST" THE PAPERWORK FOR WHEN
IT HAD BEEN RETURNED (WITHIN A FORTNIGHT OF THE START OF THE 90 DAY
REPAIR WARRANTY!!)... Even AFTER Ross Keogh from Strictly Ham had
supplied the morons with the necessary paperwork that he had!!

THEY ARE NOTHING BUT A BUNCH OF BLOODY NITWITS!!

I AM GOING TO RUB THEIR DIRTY NAME RIGHT INTO THE GROUND!!
THEIR RADIOS ARE RUBBISH!!

Im a big guy [fat] and if it didnt survive being sat on id write the
administration,NOT the repair agents. Id tell them it came back WORSE and
that it hardly does their name good with service like that.they will
agree,trust me...BUt ADMINISTRATION,even if its in USA ADMIN,they will
propmtly send it to AUS admin [imagine the embarrasement to aus admin]..

Sounds like you're big arse that's the problem LOL, Icom are top class
radios, the Technicians that worked on fixing your IC-R20 however sound a
bit crook, I had a similar experience with Commex Communications regarding a
Yaesu 757GX , came back with no RX or TX and the bloody Panel Meter light
bulbs removed, I mean the wires had actually been desoldered from the board
and the lights were missing altogether, a phone call and yelling at the
Manager soon sorted it out, you can't blame the company that made the radio
it's not their fault the radio is stuffed due to dickhead Technicians who
didn't do the repairs correctly.

seen them skid across the ground after coming off a security officers belt
breaking up a fight and still didn't kill it..
