Macleay Island in Moreton Bay. Anybody got any useful freqs for the area?
Especially the Water Police?

Much ta in advance,

Water Police use 160.775(ch 63 in the Marine band)when active
otherwise they use normal UHF Police freqs

Also VMR Southport Seaway have 2 UHF/VHF and 1 UHF/HF link repeaters
operating

CH 16 VHF Marine is linked to 463.5375 with CTCSS 233.6
CH 73 VHF Marine is linked to 466.1000 with CTCSS 233.6
CH 91 HF Marine is linked to 463.6250 with CTCSS 233.6

you might hear VMR TXing on corresponding freqs
454.0375
456.6000
454.1250

Probably have these up at Springbrook or Eagle Heights
I can hear Southport Seaway up here near Caboolture quite loud and clear

I'm still trying to find Brisbane Habour ops
surely they have a cross linked system as I can hear them no problem in
my shack on a handheld antenna yet can hardly hear a vessel with direct
line of sight to my house

Yep,was the same out at Ipswich, could hear Ch 16 (156.600) Harbour control
nicely, but no ships on the scanner. When I hooked up my nice new Yaesu FT
1802, I started hearing a few ships as well.. Haven't yet explored that band
from the current QTH in Eagleby. Got a new FT 7800 that does that band, so
have to have a scan around.

Thanks again, Kev,
